Bathroom Decorating Ideas
Decorating your bathroom is the easiest way to change the look and feel of the entire room. Even adding some of the smaller, more traditional little touches to your bathroom can greatly change the entire feel of the room. While the traditional options are fairly easy to come by, adding in unique, one of a kind decorative pieces can be slightly more difficult. When you get a little bored with your current bathroom, try some of these bathroom decorating ideas to reinvigorate the look of your room.

Candles
OK, it may seem a little standard and plain, but nothing can add more to the room than throwing in several candles. Candles now come in several different styles, shapes, and colors, providing you with more options than you will know what to do with. Just as important as the candles themselves are the candle holders. If you are going for a more relaxed bathroom, candle plates tend to be the best choice aesthetically. These allow you to create a large display that can quickly become the focal point of the entire room. If you have space issues, use an easy to remove adhesive and attach the entire plate to the top of the toilet tank or the vanity.

Towels
New towels can really set off the colors in your bathroom. Most of use don't realize since they are used all the time, but the color of your towels can either accent the color of your walls and tiling or clash with it, making them stand out more. Older towels, which have thinned and are starting to lose their color, can really bring down the entire look of the room. Plus, older towels don't dry you off as well.
Pictures and Artwork
While this may seem like a great idea, you don't want to add anything expensive or anything that can be damaged by water. Condensation from your shower can easily develop inside frames, and airtight frames can develop moisture on the inside, trapping it near whatever you have inside. Cheaper prints and posters work well in bathrooms, and they can make normally bare walls come back to life. For half baths (ones that do not have bathing facilities), adding artwork is one of the easiest things you can do.

A New Shower head
Unless you go for something a little extravagant, like a water fall or multi head style shower head, this will be more about the function of your bathroom rather than the decoration. Only you and your family will see it in most cases, but there s nothing better than getting a shower with a brand new state of the art shower head.

Shower Curtain
This is the largest space in the entire room that can involve a different color or pattern than the usual wall color. The shower curtain can easily become the focal point of the room if it incorporates colors to compliment the existing wall and and fixture color. If you can find a shower curtain you like, then make your own. The liner can be a plain clear plastic shower liner, and you can make the outer curtain by using any type of material you want. Bed sheets tend to work very well with the proper tailoring.

Soaps And Salts
Where else would you put decorative soaps. Placing these tiny soaps in a dish on the vanity or toilet lid can add for a nice little accent in the room. In addition to decorative soaps, potpourri holders and jars of bath salts can make for additional accents in any bathroom. With the salts, make sure the container they are in is air and moisture tight. This will prevent the salts from being ruined.

A Fish Tank
This is a unique idea. Placing a fish tank in the bathroom really adds to the relaxation factor. There are even sinks and other fixtures that have been designed to act as fish tanks, holding the fish inside of a large plastic enclosure. With a fish tank, you have multiple styles, sizes, colors and shapes to work with, and that's not even including the colors and types of fish you can get.
